DeJante Kennedy and Rodney Pope Jr making waves

Rodney Pope Jr, DeJante Kennedy

Two of our alumni – DeJante Kennedy and Rodney Pope Jr – are being recognized for their performance on NorCal's #1 ranked Merritt College in this week's ranking update:

"1. Merritt (8-1) The Thunderbirds become the NorCal number one team after a 3-0 weekend down south at the Bakersfield Tournament. Merritt beat Los Angeles Pierce, Bakersfield, and Fullerton last week. After seeing them play last weekend DJ Kennedy and Jovantae Carlton are two freshman that 4 year schools should pay attention to. They have great depth at the guard position (Leo Smith and Rodney Pope)  and are well coached and worthy of the top spot in the rankings. Merritt has the week off and will face Hartnell on December 11th."
